Live GPS lock
Latitude, longitude, accuracy, altitude, speed, bearing, plus code, UTM, barometer altitude and GNSS / NavIC quality.
Android · Offline-first · On-device
GeoField is a privacy-first GPS camera for surveys, inspections and site notes. Stamp photos, mark points, measure, map and export reports — without an account, ads, or a backend.
Built for roads, sites, forests and places with no signal.
What you get
Everything a GPS camera should do — plus surveying tools most photo apps never ship.
Latitude, longitude, accuracy, altitude, speed, bearing, plus code, UTM, barometer altitude and GNSS / NavIC quality.
Warn before a sloppy capture. Wait for a tighter lock, refresh GPS, or capture anyway when the site demands it.
Burn coordinates, place, project, true north, UTM and plus code onto the photo. Keep an unstamped original too.
OpenStreetMap layers, photo wedges, tracks, geofences. Cache tiles while you have signal; work later without it.
Point-to-point distance, route length, polygon area. Go-to a saved point with distance and bearing.
Group photos, locations, voice notes and measurements. Categories, geofences, before/after photo compare.
PDF with logo and site plan. CSV, GeoJSON, KML, GPX. Encrypted .gfb backups. Import GPX/KML.
SHA-256 hash chain of originals. Export JSON so a receiver can verify files without creating an account.
GPS camera
Dual-save keeps the original JPEG next to the stamped copy. True north uses magnetic declination. The stamp is yours to configure — coordinates, accuracy, altitude, bearing, date, project, UTM, plus code.
Field tools
Stand still 10–60s. GeoField averages GPS samples into a tighter control point with RMS.
Can't stand on the asset? Shoot a bearing and distance — save the remote lat/lng from where you are.
Pitch HUD, percent grade, object height from base and top elevation plus a measured distance.
Local site-inspection lists. PPE, access, GPS lock, photos, hazards — no form builder in the cloud.

Product philosophy
Photos, originals, hashes, maps and notes live in app storage on the device. Nothing is uploaded unless you tap share. Google map tiles are not used.
How it works
Questions
No. GPS, camera, compass, maps you already cached, stamps, PDFs and backups all work offline. Internet is only used if you search Nominatim or download map tiles.
No account, no paywall, no ads. Optional Play Billing exists only as a tip jar — it does not unlock features.
On the Android device. Photos under app storage, originals in a separate folder when dual-save is on, notes in a local Room database. Share and export are explicit actions.
Each original is SHA-256 hashed and chained. Export a proof JSON. Anyone can re-hash the files and check the chain — no GeoField server involved.
Android 8.0 (API 26) and up. Camera, fine location, and a compass sensor are expected. Barometer and NavIC are used when the chipset provides them.
